The whole county moved to Tier 3 on Friday 30 October.
In response to the increase in infection rates across Nottinghamshire and in consultation with government, all nine local authority council areas in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, including Rushcliffe, will move together into Tier 3 restrictions.
It affects Rushcliffe, Nottingham City, Mansfield, Broxtowe, Newark, Ashfield, Gedling and Bassetlaw.
The move to Tier 3 will now take place at 00:01 on Friday October 30.
Further details will follow on what the new measures will mean for people who live and work in Rushcliffe, the County and Nottingham.
Leader of Rushcliffe Borough Council Cllr Simon Robinson said: “We know we are asking residents and businesses to make ever more sacrifices with these new restrictions.
“All will be outlined in full but they are necessary to ensure we can restrict transmission of COVID-19 and protect lives.
“Please play your part to stop the spread of the virus. We will update on the support package to businesses as soon as possible.”
