New drone images taken on 27 May show the Waterside Bridge in the final stages of completion ahead of its planned opening next week.
The pedestrian and cycle bridge, which will link the north and south banks of the River Trent, is due to open on 2 June. The project is intended to improve connections between the Waterside area, green spaces, nearby communities and routes towards the city centre.

The latest aerial images show the bridge structure in place, with approach routes, landscaping and finishing works progressing at either end of the crossing.
The bridge has been under construction for several months and is one of the most visible elements of wider regeneration plans for the Waterside area. It is expected to provide a direct, traffic-free route across the Trent for walkers and cyclists.
Once open, the bridge will improve access between residential areas on both sides of the river and support active travel by making short local journeys easier without using a car.
The scheme has been led by Nottingham City Council, working with partners to deliver new infrastructure in the area. Previous updates have described the bridge as a key part of plans to support new housing, regeneration and improved sustainable transport links.
With the opening now only days away, attention is turning to the final preparations before the crossing is made available for public use.
