Bus disruptions across Nottinghamshire this week as road closures affect services

Bus passengers are being advised to allow extra time for journeys as roadworks and closures affect services across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire this week.

Several temporary closures begin on Monday 10 August, while disruption already in place on routes through Bilborough, Arnold, Newark and Bramcote will continue.

Closures beginning this week

Main Street in Calverton will be closed from Monday 10 August until Friday 14 August, affecting the number 61 service.

A closure of Nuthall Road from Monday 10 August to Monday 17 August will affect routes 78 and 79.

Loughborough Road, between Nottingham Knight and Ruddington, will also be closed from Monday 10 August until Tuesday 18 August, affecting route 10.

Passengers using the 901 service should be aware of closures affecting Sutton Bonington Campus and College Road from Wednesday 12 August until Tuesday 18 August.

Closures continuing this week

The daytime closure of Cockington Road in Bilborough remains in place until Tuesday 18 August, affecting routes 28 and 35.

Overnight closures on Gedling Road in Arnold are continuing until Friday 21 August, with routes 56 and 59 affected.

In Newark, the overnight closure of London Road is scheduled to remain in place until Friday 4 September and will affect route 90.

Route 30 is affected by two separate closures. Bramcote Lane is closed until Friday 28 August, while the closure of Thoresby Road is due to remain in place until Tuesday 11 August.

Overnight work on Loughborough Road is also affecting route 10 until Thursday 13 August.

Longer-term disruption

The closure of Trent Boulevard, which began on 13 July, continues to affect the 11 and 11C services.

Roadworks at Lowdham Roundabout began on 3 August and are expected to last for approximately 13 months, affecting route 26.

At Nottingham City Hospital, the closure of Linden Way remains in place until further notice and is affecting the 40A service.

Passengers should check with their bus operator before travelling, as services may be diverted and stops could be temporarily unavailable during the closures.
