Passengers connecting with other bus services can travel free on the 747 between Radcliffe-on-Trent and Shelford or Gunthorpe during the closure of Kirk Hill.
Nottinghamshire County Council has introduced the arrangement to help passengers affected by the road closure, which begins on Monday 24 August as part of the A614/A6097 junction improvement scheme.
Passengers transferring from or to the rushcliffe villager or mainline services should tell the 747 driver that they have used, or intend to use, one of those services to receive the free connecting journey.
Kirk Hill and East Bridgford Road are due to remain closed for around 12 months while work is carried out at the junction. A temporary speed restriction will also operate on the A6097.
The project includes earthworks, utility diversions and the removal of existing traffic islands, lighting columns and traffic signals.
Once completed, the junction will have an additional lane in each direction, a new traffic signal system, upgraded street lighting and changes intended to make right turns easier. Work will also include improvements to the Kirk Hill footpath and bridleway crossing.
