Officers from the Roads Policing Unit (RPU) are appealing for witnesses – and anyone with dashcam footage – to come forward following a collision at the Hobby Horse island.
Shortly after 6.20pm on Sunday (3 July), a car collided with a motorcycle.
The motorcycle was intending to travel north on the A46 towards Newark upon exiting the roundabout.
The driver of the car – which is believed to have been a Jaguar or Mercedes – remained at the scene for a short time but left prior to police arriving.
The motorcycle rider – a man in his 30s – suffered a broken collarbone, broken ribs and a fracture to his neck.
PC Anthony Brewin, the investigating officer, said:
“Our investigation into this incident is continuing and I am appealing for public help to identify the car so the driver involved can be spoken to.
