A 51-year-old man has been jailed after pleading guilty to a burglary at a care home in Eastwood.
Alan Brown, of South Street, Eastwood, was sentenced to nine months in prison at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 22 January after admitting the offence.
The burglary took place at a property in Three Tuns Road on 10 September 2025. CCTV footage showed Brown entering the site and stealing a number of items over a period of around five hours.
Items taken included construction tools, a microwave and other property. During the incident, Brown also took a high-visibility jacket from the site and was later seen wearing it.

Brown admitted entering the building via Percy Street with the intention of stealing piping and other scrap metal. He was later discovered inside the property by a site maintenance manager, who escorted him outside and contacted police.
Brown was arrested shortly after 10pm and later charged with burglary. He has previous convictions.
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson said the evidence gathered during the investigation led to Brown’s guilty plea.
