Developer sponsors soloists for Ruddington & District Choral Society

Ruddington & District Choral Society is delighted to announce the sponsorship of soloists by Clowes Developments for the Society’s upcoming concert in November 2026, to be held at St Peter’s Church, Ruddington.
Ruddington & District Choral Society has a long and proud history of producing enjoyable, high-quality concerts for the local community. A defining feature of the Society’s performances is the inclusion of professional soloists, whose soaring voices add an essential ingredient to any choral work and greatly enhance the musical experience for audiences.

The Society is grateful to Clowes Developments for their support, which will help to meet the costs of engaging soloists for the November 2026 concert and enable the Society to continue presenting choral concerts to the highest possible standard.

Clowes Developments is partnered with Homes England to deliver Fairham, a 606-acre mixed-use development within the borough of Rushcliffe.

As part of its commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates, Clowes Developments is keen to support local initiatives that encourage community engagement, and “few things bring people together quite like music”.

Chris Bowerman, spokesperson for Ruddington & District Choral Society, said:

“We are delighted and grateful that Clowes Developments have chosen to support our work.

“Their sponsorship makes a real difference and helps us bring outstanding solo performers to our concerts, enriching the experience for both singers and audiences alike.”
Residents at the new Fairham neighbourhood are encouraged to get involved with the choir, who meet at Ruddington Methodist Church Hall every Monday evening at 7.15 pm.

“As well as providing an opportunity to meet new people, singing is a fun and sociable activity. Our rehearsal evenings include a coffee break, and once a month we go to the local pub after choir.

“In addition, we arrange outings to plays and other local musical events during the year. There are no auditions for the choir, and you can come for three weeks before making a decision about joining the Society, so you can see if it’s for you. Everyone is welcome.”
