‘The crews traversing what was a road looking to help people stranded in their houses, cars and mobile homes.
‘Having to check the depth with a wading pole for things like fences grit bin and anything else that could strike the underneath of the boat.’

The Environment Agency has a flood warning in force for the area:
‘River levels remain high at the Torksey river gauge as a result of Storm Henk. Consequently, flooding is expected to continue. Areas most at risk are Collingham.
Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Sunday 07/01/24.’
