Man charged with burglary after door kicked in at a Nottingham flat

A wallet and keys were reportedly stolen following a break-in.

Officers were called to Frogmore Street, St Ann’s, where it was reported the items had been taken and a door of a flat had been kicked in.

A search of the area was conducted and officers arrested a man shortly after the incident at around 9.30am on Thursday (28 October 2021).

Ahmed Khalif, 24, of Chestnut Road, Birmingham, is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrate’s Court today (Friday 29 October 2021) charged with two counts of burglary with intent to steal.

Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The public can have faith that reports of burglary will be investigated and we will relentlessly pursue lines of enquiry.

“A man has now been charged in connection with this incident and officers continue to make enquiries and conduct their investigation.”
