New manager appointed at Ruddington museum

The museum village appoints a new manager at the Framework Knitters Museum.

The museum said:

‘As we reach a point where our redevelopment project is now very nearly completed, Jim Grevatte has decided to step back from the operational aspects of his role as Manager of the Framework Knitters Museum.

‘The Trustees of the museum sincerely thank him for the fantastic contribution he has made.

‘Jim will retain his position as a valued member of our Board of Trustees and continue to participate in the strategic leadership of the charity using his considerable curatorial and creative skills. He will continue to oversee the delivery of the last few aspects of the Lottery Heritage Funded project.

‘The museum has completed a competitive recruitment process for a new Operations Manager role, and the Trustees are delighted to announce that Ruddington resident Sarah Godfrey has been appointed.

‘With a strong arts background, Sarah brings us an unusual combination of both creativity and commercial awareness, as well as a wealth of experience in organising and running community events. She joins the Museum team at an exciting point in our story as we now seek to make the most of our amazing new facilities, and we wish her every success in her new job.’
