A victim didn’t come forward so there was no physical evidence of injuries but officers tracked down CCTV which showed Mason punching a man several times to the face and head and kicking him in the head as he lay seemingly unconscious on the ground.

Detective Sergeant Lee Cattell said: “Mason is a violent individual who tried to take the law into his own hands. I’d like to thank my team for their hard work in seeing this case quickly through court, despite there not being a victim, and I’m glad he has been locked up for his crimes. Violent behaviour will not be tolerated in Nottinghamshire.”
