Opportunities available for small grants for individuals and community groups

Rushcliffe Rotary Club’s recent Santa collections raised more than £11,000 for its benevolent fund, thanks to the generosity of the local communities.

The Club is now offering the opportunity to individuals and groups based in West Bridgford and the surrounding areas to apply for small grants in undertaking projects at home or abroad.

Individual grants usually range from £50 to £200. No specific total has been allocated for small donations as funds are also made available to a range of local and international charitable causes.
As funds are limited early application is sensible to avoid disappointment.

When considering an application, the club makes reference to the following criteria: –
1. any previous application made to the club
2. the link the individual or group has with the local area
3. the extent to which the project has a humanitarian, environmental or educational focus.
4. the extent to which the project supports disadvantaged groups within the community
5. the willingness to report back to club members on the outcomes from the project.

Applications should be sent by email to the Club Secretary, John Hooley at johnrhooley@virginmedia.com
