Police attended following a number of complaints in East Leake over parking issues.
Officers from Rushcliffe South Neighbourhood Policing Team have been in attendance on Costock Road and Cornflower Way following a number of repeated reports from local residents in East Leake.
Officers found most vehicles appropriately parked, with a small number of vehicles causing minor obstructions and appropriate action was taken by officers – including engaging with owners and issuing warning notices.
New signs have also been placed on both Costock Road and Cornflower Way warning drivers that vehicles parked obstructing a pavement, junction or dropped kerb may be liable to police action.
Drivers are encouraged to park appropriately and to be conscientious to other road users and pedestrians, the issue will continue to be monitored by Police, local councils and VIA.
