The road has reopened and the situation resolved.
Police said at 12:22 pm on Saturday 23 September:
‘Shireoaks Common has now reopened after an earlier incident was safely resolved by officers.
‘We’d like to thank residents for their patience and understanding.’
Earlier officers closed the area saying:
