Rushcliffe dignitaries send condolences to The Royal Family after the passing of Her Majesty The Queen

The Council’s thoughts are with The Royal Family and everyone who knew Her Majesty The Queen at this incredibly sad time following announcement of her passing earlier today.

 

Flags are at half-mast at Rushcliffe Arena, Rushcliffe Borough Council’s offices in West Bridgford and other government headquarters across Nottinghamshire. 

 

Details will be announced and continually updated at www.rushcliffe.gov.uk of how everyone can remember and reflect on her life.

This will include where you can lay flowers, sign books of condolence and the proclamation of the new Sovereign.  

The Mayor of Rushcliffe Cllr Tina Combellack said: “It is with great sadness to learn of the death of Her Majesty The Queen and a monarch who gave strength to so many for so long around the world and epitomised leadership with humility and dedication.

“She has been a figure in all our lives for as long as many of us can remember. We share the Royal Family’s mourning for her loss and will be informing residents in due course how they can pay their respects to acknowledge her life and passing.”

Leader of Rushcliffe Borough Council Cllr Simon Robinson said: “Our thoughts are with the Royal Family and everyone who knew Her Majesty The Queen at this incredibly sad time.

 

“Please continue to check our website www.rushcliffe.gov.uk that will inform residents how they can pay their respects to this most incredible of sovereigns who led us with strength and dignity.”
