Seven women fight and throw glasses in Ruddington pub

Police are appealing for information after a fight broke out between a group of women inside a pub.

Officers were called to The Red Lion, in Easthorpe Street, Ruddington, at around 11.30 pm on 10 February 2023 when it was reported seven women were fighting and throwing glasses at each other.

Three women, aged 35, 37 and 49, were arrested on suspicion of affray and have been bailed while investigations continue.

Police believe a number of people filmed the incident on mobile phones and would like to speak to anyone with footage which could help with their inquiries.

Police Constable Christopher Morgan, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a serious incident of disorder in a busy venue and we are determined to find out who was responsible.

“I would encourage anyone who was in the pub and has information which could help us to get in touch immediately.

“We understand a number of people filmed the fight and we particularly want to hear from them.

“We have worked closely with the pub’s owners and I’d like to thank them for their assistance as our investigation continues.”

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 891 of 10 February 2023, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
