Detectives investigating a serious assault near a Bestwood park have now arrested three suspects.
A man was walking along Bembridge Drive towards Sandy Banks Nature Reserve when he was attacked.
The 32-year-old sustained multiple slash injuries to his chest, back and legs during the incident, around 7.10pm on Friday (7 August).
Officers came to the victim’s aid after spotting him while out on patrol in Oxclose Lane, with paramedics then taking him to hospital soon after.
The injuries sustained by the man during the attack aren’t believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
Police have been conducting extensive inquiries since the assault happened and managed to detain three suspects earlier this morning (9 August).
A 54-year-old man, a 42-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were all arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Detective Inspector Stu Barson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“The victim of this attack continues to be supported by specially trained officers and has now been updated about these arrests.
“All three suspects were detained at a house earlier this morning, which was identified following some extensive inquiries by our policing teams.
“We hope news of this police action provides the public with some reassurance about how seriously we take offences of this nature.
“Despite making these arrests, our investigation into this incident remains ongoing, so we’d ask anyone who has any information that could assist our inquiries to please get in touch.”
