Two men have been charged after a search led to a significant amount of drugs being recovered.
Officers followed and stopped a man who they suspected to be in possession of drugs in Coleridge Street, Radford, and shortly after they recovered a phone as well as a large quantity of Class B drugs.
As a result, searches were conducted at a nearby property, where they recovered a large quantity of class A drugs and cash.
A 20-year-old man from Radford has since been charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession with intent to supply class B drugs and possessing criminal property.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply class B drugs and possessing criminal property.
Both appeared at Nottingham Magistrate’s Court on Thursday (25 November 2021) and have been released on conditional bail to appear at Nottingham Crown Court on Thursday 23 December 2021.
Detective Sergeant Chris Berryman, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Thanks to the efforts of officers, a quantity of class A and class B drugs are now out of circulation and off Nottinghamshire’s streets.
“We take drug possession and supply extremely seriously as not only is it an offence in itself, but time and time again it can feed into and be linked to wider serious and organised criminality, which can have a detrimental effect on communities.
“Two men have been charged following the discovery and we continue our enquiries.”
