Two vehicles seized after reports of anti-social driving on A57 near Worksop

Police have seized two vehicles following reports of anti-social driving along the A57 near Worksop.

Police officers responded during the evening of Sunday 9 August after receiving reports of vehicles being driven in an anti-social manner.

Police said both vehicles were seized using new Section 59 powers, which allow officers to take action without issuing a prior warning.

The force has also warned people against travelling to Worksop for organised car meets or similar gatherings where anti-social behaviour may take place.

In a statement, police said: “We would strongly advise anyone considering travelling to Worksop for organised ‘car meets’ or similar gatherings involving anti-social behaviour to think again.

“We will continue to take robust action against those causing nuisance, danger and disruption to our communities.”
