Warning to Wollaton residents as fire service attend chemical spill

Residents are advised to keep windows closed.

At 3:40 pm the fire service updated:

‘We have now left the incident on Canterbury Road in Wollaton. The clean-up is ongoing, and the cordon will likely remain in place for a couple more hours.’

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said at 11:39 am on Thursday 14 September:

‘We’re in attendance at a contained chemical spill on Canterbury Road in Wollaton.

‘A cordon is in place while we work with partners to resolve the incident.

‘We’re likely to be on scene for a few hours.

‘Residents should keep windows and doors closed.’
