The popular Paulo’s Seafood on Melton Road in West Bridgford is on the market.
It’s thought that a fishmonger has been on this site on Melton Road since around 1917.
Current owner Paolo has operated the current fishmonger’s shop since October 2009.
We met Paolo today Tuesday 18 April at the store, he said:
‘When I took on the fishmonger’s premises on Melton Road, it was already an established and respected business.
‘Using my training as a cook, and twenty years of importing fish from all over the world, I have spent the last fourteen years developing the business; extending the range of seafood offered, forging relationships with new suppliers in order to guarantee the quality, consistent, responsibly caught fish at sensible prices.
‘We also supply an ever-increasing number of Nottingham’s more discerning restaurants, hotels and pubs due to our reputation for consistent quality.’
Paolo wants to take semi-retirement now, that’s the reason for the sale.
Paolo added: ‘It’s been an enormous pleasure to serve the community here, many customers are regulars and come by every week.’
The business is for sale at £165,000
The sales particulars read:
