A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a car crashed along a busy road.
Police were called to Chesterfield Road North, Pleasley, at 7.15pm on Wednesday (16 February) after a Vauxhall Astra left the road before hitting a wall and lamppost.
A 19-year-old woman was arrested at the scene after she tested positive for cocaine after a roadside drug wipe.
A small bag of white powder was also seized from the vehicle.
Police took the woman to hospital to be treated for minor injuries before she was transferred into custody for questioning.
She has since been released under investigation while further enquiries are made.
Inspector Matt Scott, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I’d like to thank our response officers for their quick actions in responding to this incident.
“As with drink-driving, drug-driving can also cost lives and we will always take robust action against anyone found to have committed such offences.”
