Driver three times over the alcohol limit arrested in Cotgrave centre

On Thursday afternoon 9 December a female suspected to be driving whilst under the influence of alcohol was stopped and arrested by police at the shopping precinct in Cotgrave.

Police said:

‘Thanks to information received from members of the public, the female was seen driving erratically, swerving across lanes and had no lights on during the dark rush hour period.

‘She was subsequently arrested after providing a sample of breath at the roadside of almost three times the drink drive limit.’

This week is Rushcliffe’s week of action targeting the ‘FATAL FOUR!’

The fatal four are the most common causes of road accidents and yet, very easy to avoid. Stay within the speed limit, don’t use your mobile phone, always wear a seat belt and never drive if you plan to drink alcohol.
